From June 30 to September 30, 2006 , Apple sold 8,729,000 iPods and 1,610,000 Macintosh, which represents 35% growth over last year. The Apple company sold 39 million iPods over the last twelve months. This marks a significant period of growth for the company who has succeeded in sales.
Apple's sales figures are now 4.84 billion dollars, for a gain of 546 million dollars. However, Apple's activities have focused on the relative market in the United States where 60% of its revenues originate, while only 40% are international.
